On Thursday 18 May 4 Lane were visited by Mr Stouts, Daisy’s Dad. Mr Strouts visits lots of countries for his work and he came to talk to the pupils about five of them in connection with the class geography lessons. He brought with him a map showing all 28 countries that he has visited, a fridge magnet for each, different currencies and lots of other souvenirs.
The children were fascinated by his tales and facts about Singapore, Germany, The Netherlands, South Africa and Japan. They studied the bank notes and flags and learnt how to identify them. Mr Strouts was impressed by the children’s questions and knowledge. They finished by sampling sweets from Singapore and blowing the vuvuzela!
