Transition Learn about Sukkot

The children in Transition Pettigrew have recently been learning about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. They were taught about the Sukkah, a temporary hut that is built during the festival which is usually topped with branches and decorated with Autumn themes. They then had a go at decorating their own shelter in which to have their mid morning snack. They also listened to a talk by Rabbi Gilbert who lead an informative assembly about the festival and why it is celebrated.
