Admissions
The majority of the boys and girls are admitted from the age of 2½  years into the Kindergarten or at 4-5 years into our Transition Classes.  There is also a limited entry into the Upper School at other ages.  Places are heavily oversubscribed as the majority of children stay through to Year 6, and early registration is strongly advised.

Advance interviews are held for applicants for the Lower School.  At the interview, we select children who we feel would benefit from the environment at Coopersale Hall School; that is, children who will thrive in a busy and structured environment, who will be able to benefit from a wide range of opportunities and who will be prepared to participate enthusiastically in all aspects of school life.

Admissions Procedures

Steps to follow if you wish to register your child for a place at Coopersale Hall School:

  • Make an appointment to visit the School and discuss entrance with the Headmaster.  We may subsequently ask you to bring your child for at least half a day, and he/she may have to take a Maths and English Test after meeting the Form Teacher and Headmaster.
  • Complete the Registration Form (downloadable below).  Return it to us together with the non-refundable Registration Fee.  This will ensure that your child is placed on the waiting list.
  • If you are offered a place at the School and accept, we will ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of £500.  This will be deducted from the first term’s fees.

Terms and Conditions
The School Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time and, subject to any amendment, shall apply to the whole period a pupil attends the School. The admission or retention of a pupil is conditional upon acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, and also the pupil Rules and Regulations, published by the School.

Fees and Notice of Removal
The fees are listed on a separate sheet available from the School Office and are payable on or before the first day of each term. A monthly instalment scheme is available, helping to ease budgetary constraints.  There can be no remission for illness or absence for whatever reason and interest will be charged on overdue accounts. Fees will be revised annually and due notice will be given in time for publishing each January.

A condition of entry is that parents undertake to give a full term's notice in writing before removal of their child from the school.  A term's fees will be charged in lieu of notice should a child be withdrawn with less than one term's notice.

A half term's notice must be given for the discontinuance of extra curricular activities.

See our Terms and Conditions (available with the Acceptance Pack) for full details.
