Mrs Doherty was very impressed with how well the children entered the hall for our first Celebration Assembly of 2024. She was delighted that already there were so many wonderful achievements that the children shared with one another. These included, Poppy in 6B sharing her level 7 swimming certificate, Olivia in 2H, showing everyone her gymnastics medal. Harmonie in 4B and Martin in 3G were delighted to have achieved their pen license awards.
Jackson and Ruby in 7R were pleased to gain their achievement certificates and shared with the school how much they enjoy learning in the science and ICT labs. Defne in 6Z and Atilla in 7R also received certificates for their continued hard work and diligence to their studies. Children from all year groups were delighted to gain their merit and science certificates and were loudly applauded by the school.
Miss Gilbert also spoke to the children about the Readathon which has commenced today and will run until Thursday 1st February. Everyone listened to how they could asked their families or friends to sponsor them to read. The charity monies raised will go towards supplying a local hospital with books for children who are in hospital.
