All the Reception classes have combined their talents to create two scarecrows for the Copped Hall Scarecrow Competition. Mrs. Haq’s class created the head, Miss Marks’ children made the body, and Miss Gowland’s children crafted the trousers. Everyone enjoyed creating their part of the scarecrow, and the elements came together perfectly.
It was wonderful to participate in this competition, which brings together schools from the local community to make scarecrows that help keep birds away from the crops being grown. The scarecrows will be judged by visitors to the walled garden, and the results will be announced in October.
