This term in Wellies and Woodland Club, the children have been fishing for tadpoles. These fascinating little creatures have been quite clever in avoiding the children’s colourful nets!
However, just before half term, they finally caught one of these tiny amphibians! Pupils were delighted! Other creatures caught in their nets, included a water snail and a rather captivating dragonfly nymph.
The children dutifully released the creatures back into the pond, but they will back armed with their nets, so watch out, tadpoles!
