Year 5 have been enjoying a clay workshop at the Potty Painting Studio in High Ongar, exploring a range of techniques to create a wonderful selection of coil pots and decorative tiles. The workshop buzzed with activity as the children brought their creative ideas to life through their clay work.
Once their pieces had been dried and fired, the children returned to the workshop and carefully painted their creations. They took great care to ensure that their terracotta items were thoroughly covered with glazing paint, ready for the second firing.
Mrs Howard and Mrs Zylstra were very proud of how well the children listened, worked collaboratively, and expressed their ideas through their work. The pupils were excellent ambassadors for the school.
