Community Partnerships

Coopersale Hall School and the Oak-Tree Group of Schools are actively committed to supporting local and national organisations to create a positive impact in our community. We strive to enrich and inspire our neighbours through charity days, volunteering and sporting collaborations.

Through our charity partners our pupils gain insightful first-hand experience with various issues, motivating them to drive change within their community.

Yellow Day for YoungMinds

Coopersale Hall School came together recently to raise awareness for World Mental Health Day, with both children and staff wearing yellow to mark the occasion.

Pupils participated in a variety of activities including a yellow-themed treasure hunt, learning affirmations and creating doodles inspired by The Doodle Boy. While the day was filled with fun, it carried the vital message that everyone experiences different emotions and for those who may be struggling, the school has multiple support systems, like the Listening Ear in place. The event also emphasized the valuable resources available through the YoungMinds charity, which provides practical guidance for both pupils and parents.

Charity Movie Dress Up Day

It was wonderful to see pupils dressed as characters from a range of films, to raise funds for the charities we are supporting this academic year: Help for Heroes and Guide Dogs.

Pupils were delighted to welcome Josh Boggi to the school following our Movie Dress-Up Day fundraiser in support of Help for Heroes.

Josh shared his inspiring story, from serving in the British Army and sustaining life-changing injuries in Afghanistan, to rebuilding his life with the support of the charity and going on to achieve incredible challenges, including competing in the Invictus Games.

The assembly was both engaging and thought-provoking, with pupils asking insightful questions and learning more about how their fundraising helps support veterans and their families. It was a powerful and memorable experience for all involved.

The Oak-Tree Group Sporting Collaborations

As a group, we enjoy working with local partners including a variety of sports clubs and facilities. We are open to suggestions for further collaborations, within the limits of the Group’s resources.

Our schools make use of multiple sports facilities in the area including Epping Tennis Club and The Connaught Club.

‘We can never fully express how much your assistance means to our hard-working team of volunteers – thank you from the bottom of our hearts!’
