Year 3 Easter Gardens

In Science, Year 3 have been tasked with making Easter gardens inspired by the Passion and the resurrection of Christ. Through this activity, pupils develop an understanding of how plants are potted into soil, while also drawing on the knowledge and insights they have gained in their PSHE lessons. Cross-curricular learning helps pupils to embed their understanding and deepen their knowledge.

Cross-curricular work offers a creative way to develop children’s knowledge, skills, and understanding, while motivating them to learn through stimulating, interconnected topics. Studying across subject boundaries encourages investigations that engage children’s imagination, and provides opportunities for teachers to promote active enquiry, initiative, discussion, and debate.
