Year 3 Camp - Andy Goldsworthy Art Activity
Mrs Robinson was thoroughly delighted by the high level of engagement demonstrated by all pupils during the Andy Goldsworthy inspired art session at the Year 3 Oak-Tree camp. Andy Goldsworthy OBE, an English sculptor, photographer and environmentalist, is renowned for creating striking artworks within natural settings, often using materials found in the landscape itself. Inspired by his work, the pupils eagerly explored the grounds at Oaklands school, foraging for a variety of natural materials such as leaves, twigs, stones and petals.
They showed great enthusiasm and creativity as they carefully selected and arranged their findings to construct beautiful pieces of living art. Mrs Robinson was particularly impressed by how well the pupils collaborated, supporting one another and sharing ideas to bring their creations to life. Their ability to work cooperatively, combined with their imaginative use of natural materials, resulted in a collection of truly wonderful and thoughtful artworks.
Well done to everyone for their creativity, teamwork and effort, it was a joy to see such inspired learning in action.
