Year 9 - Endangered Animal Drawings

Year 9 have been working hard to produce these lovely observational studies exploring the grid method.

Pupils started the unit through discussion about how and why animals become endangered in the world we live in today, then selected an endangered animal to focus on. 

The class initially found the grid method challenging but benefitted by having a good base to start considering how to use tones and mark making to create depth and three-dimensional form to ensure their chosen animals fur and hides were carefully thought about.
