Years 3 to 6 enjoy a French Play -Shipwrecked

Pupils from Years 3 - 6 gathered into the hall to enjoy a play "Shipwrecked En France" enacted in both English and French.

Max is on holiday with his parents in France and, bored of sunbathing, becomes determined to find an adventure of his own. Setting off in his dinghy, he travels far along the coast and must then navigate his way back to his parents. Although his French is limited and he initially feels self-conscious, Max gradually gains confidence as he meets a variety of people along the way. With every encounter, his French improves and he discovers that overcoming this challenge helps him grow in confidence in many different ways.

This fast-paced play blended comedy with the French language, while also exploring French culture and themes of courage and resilience. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the performance and were thrilled to be included on stage as props alongside the talented actors, who carefully wove together this wonderful tale.
