Reading Buddies - May 2026

Pupils thoroughly enjoyed spending time together today as part of our Reading Buddies sessions. Children visited each other’s classrooms and shared stories, conversations, and special moments together, either outside in the sunshine or indoors in the classroom environment. It was lovely to see the pupils communicating so confidently and building positive relationships through reading and discussion.

These sessions continue to be a highlight for everyone involved, and it was particularly wonderful to see the Year 1 pupils enjoying the opportunity to read on the lawn alongside the Year 3 children. The atmosphere was calm, happy, and engaging, with all pupils showing great enthusiasm for sharing books and supporting one another’s learning and reading choices.
