Lions on the Loose Day

There were certainly plenty of "Lions on the Loose" at school this week! Miss Manning-Swallow was both delighted and overwhelmed by the fantastic support shown by everyone. The children looked wonderful in their lion-themed outfits and generously made donations to support the invaluable work of St Clare Hospice.

Pupils also had the opportunity to purchase wristbands and small lion toys, helping to raise additional funds for this worthy cause. Throughout the day, every class enthusiastically participated in a range of special activities, including creating colourful and imaginative lion-themed artwork and a lion-themed scavenger hunt, which was a particularity favourite. The teachers were delighted to  see how well each class embraced working together to follow the clues and solve the challenges.

It was a truly memorable day filled with fun, creativity, generosity, and community spirit, all in support of a very deserving cause.

We would particularly like to recognise Grace in Year 4, who demonstrated remarkable ingenuity in raising funds.

Grace explained:

"During the Thursday of half-term, I set up a stall and sold fresh eggs, rhubarb and leeks that we had grown in our garden. I sold out of everything and had to go back to the garden to fetch more produce to sell. It was a really lovely day, and I was thrilled to be able to donate £52.00 to St Clare Hospice."

It was wonderful to learn how Grace found such an enterprising way to raise money for charity. Thank you, Grace, for your fantastic effort.

We are incredibly proud of everyone at Coopersale Hall School for their enthusiasm, kindness and willingness to support our charity events.
