Summer Series Concert 6

Thursday was the final concert in our Summer Series and it was a real treat. We were very lucky to have Mrs Hadjipanayi and her wonderful singing pupils performing for us. There was a brilliant range of songs, from old favourites, to modern classics, thoughtful lyrics, challenging tongue twisters, songs with powerful messages and even a bit of comedy. The performers sang with confidence and style and had the audience tapping their toes and clapping along.

The songs were interspersed with performances on the piano, ranging from beginner to Grade 4 and we were all impressed by their talent. We were also treated to a recorder piece played by Y1-4 music club who have been working hard on a variety of musical skills all year.

The concert finished with a massed performance of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. What a fantastic way to end our concert series.

A special thank you to all the peripatetic teachers, both in and outside of school who have worked so hard to prepare the pupils for these concerts.
