Year 5 & 6 Endangered Animals Art

Pupils in KS2 have had a great time building their painting skills this term producing their chosen Endangered Animals. We started by enlarging our chosen subject with colour pencils loosely and then spent time exploring colour theory. They practised how to make secondary, tertiary, tints and shades before building up their colours to create elephant hides, turtle shells and leopard fur. Making different animal textures was fun and even better when using alternative equipment like the back of a brush, cardboard and string.  Great work and great results, a big well done to everyone.
