Year 5 Mayan Workshop

On Thursday 17th September, Year 5 received a very special visit from an expert time traveller! She transported the children back to the Maya civilisation, where they landed in the ancient city of Palenque.

Through a range of exciting drama activities, the children stepped into the shoes of the Maya, acting out different aspects of everyday life and exploring how weapons and other tools may have been used. The children thoroughly enjoyed this immersive experience, which really brought their learning to life and helped to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the Maya civilisation.
