Learning in Pre-School this September
Our Pre-school family - The children have enjoyed creating self-portraits using paper plates, carefully designing their faces to reflect their own unique features. They selected their own colours and explored a range of different materials and media to add details such as eyes, hair, noses, and mouths. This creative activity encouraged the children to make individual choices, develop their fine motor skills, and express their personalities through art.

Shapes - The children have been exploring shapes both indoors and outdoors, discovering circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles within their environment. They enjoyed looking for shapes in everyday objects and discussing what they found with their friends. To extend their learning, the children created their own shape collages, independently selecting the shapes they wanted to use and arranging them in their own unique designs. This activity encouraged shape recognition, creativity, and decision-making while developing their fine motor skills through cutting, sticking, and placing the shapes.
