Year 9 create Aldo Tolino inspired Portraits

Pupils have been exploring the artwork of Austrian photographer and paper sculpture Aldo Tolino who blends image-making and physical manipulation to question identity and perception.

They considered a range of devices including distortion, time, emotion and de-construction before creatively re-assembling these powerful portraits.

Initially pupils were hesitant to cut, fold and rip but once the initial fear went the excitement produced with their portrait results were amazing. Great work year 9!
