Harvest Assembly

Mrs Hogarth was delighted to host our Harvest Assembly and welcome the Reverand Sarah Moss and residents from Ashlar House Care Home into our school. We were especially grateful that they kindly brought a food donation to contribute to our harvest collection.

Harvest is a special time in our school year when we come together to give thanks for all that we have and reflect on how we can help others in our community. Mrs Hogarth was overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown by everyone, reminding us that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a significant impact. By sharing what we have, we demonstrate compassion, care and consideration for others, values that make our school community so special.

The Rev Moss reminded us that Harvest is not only a time to celebrate the gathering of crops from the fields, but also an opportunity to reflect on how fortunate we are and recognise our responsibility to support those around us.

Tommy, our Head Boy, was delighted to thank everyone for their generosity and for helping to make our harvest collection such a success. Roshni, our Head Girl, led a prayer giving thanks for the food we enjoy and the beautiful world in which it grows. The prayer also asked that we care for our world, waste less and share what we can with a cheerful heart.

Finally, Mrs Hogarth also took a moment to thank our pupils and their families again for their incredible generosity. She praised the kindness shown through their harvest donations and reminded everyone that their contributions would make a real difference to the lives of others.

The volume of donations received this year was truly amazing and will make a meaningful difference to the local community.
