Year 5 & 6 Charles McGee Paper Sculptures

Pupils have really enjoyed making these exciting paper sculptures. We started our unit of work by discussing the art and ideas of the American artist, Charles Mc Gee. Charles explored line and pattern and his main inspirations were the ups and downs and equilibrium of life and in particular nature. We started by producing lots of different patterns and shapes, considering weight of line and then went onto merging two dimension with three dimension, exploring a range of key terminology. Well done everyone, great work!
