Celebration Assembly - January 2026

Mrs Moon was delighted to host our celebration assembly in the hall. She introduced the Mayor to the pupils, who spoke about her role within the community and how much she appreciated the pupils’ engagement in the Christmas Card competition she had organised. She was pleased to announce that the winner of the competition was Eloise in Year 5, with Eleanor in Year 2 being one of the four runners-up. The Mayor was delighted to present them with certificates and gifts in recognition of their wonderful artwork. Everyone applauded their success, and both pupils were thrilled to have met the Mayor, who had kindly taken time out of her busy schedule to speak to the pupils at our school.

The Year 6 pupils then shared the artwork they had created during a recent workshop. They explained that they had learned about Walter Spradbery, who designed the logo for the Central Line, which is still in use today. Carter spoke to the pupils about what had inspired him to create his own piece, and everyone was delighted to listen to him.

As the assembly drew to a close, the Year 6 pupils held up their artwork to create a live gallery. Pupils from across the school took time to view and appreciate the work that had been produced as they left the hall.
