Year 4 Calendar Silhouettes

Year 4 Barr have been discovering the art of silhouettes during their art lessons. They used images of themselves to create their own 2026 calendar. Mrs Barr was delighted with how much the pupils enjoyed creating their artwork and how carefully they worked to achieve an excellent likeness of themselves.

Creating silhouettes involves producing a strong contrast between the background and the subject, carefully balancing positive and negative space to create a striking visual impact.
