Hot Chocolate Friday - Respect focus

Each week, teachers will be asked to select a pupil who best demonstrates a range of positive qualities within the classroom and the wider school environment.

For the inaugural meeting with Mr Wilson, teachers were asked to consider those children who have consistently shown respect towards both their fellow pupils and the adults they encounter each day. Respect is one of our school’s core values. It is always a very difficult decision for teachers to make, as so many pupils display these admirable qualities.

The selected pupils gathered in the breakfast room, where they enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate, chatted with Mr Wilson, and shared their hobbies and interests with him and one another.

Each week, the focus will change to highlight different qualities that help shape a person’s character, enabling them to flourish within the school community and carry these important values with them throughout their lives.
