PSHE - Year 3G Setting Goals & Dreams
Within the PSHE framework, Year 3 have been exploring the importance of personal development and the different ways in which it can be achieved. This can take many forms, including communication, teamwork and empathy towards others. It is also important for pupils to reflect on their own goals, setting themselves realistic targets and working steadily towards achieving them.
Year 3 worked together to support one another’s physical wellbeing. They began by completing a series of exercises for one minute to establish a benchmark. They recorded how long they were able to hold certain positions and how many repetitions they could complete within the allotted time. They then considered what would be realistic and achievable targets to work towards, which will be reviewed during the summer term.
Miss Gilbert was delighted by how positive and receptive the pupils were to the challenges set, and how thoughtfully they considered the goals they would like to achieve in the coming months. Everyone is looking forward to revisiting these targets and seeing how much progress they have made through setting themselves personal challenges.
