Live Wire Assembly

Mrs Bull was delighted to welcome Simon from Live Wire to our school. Simon was pleased to share that we host a Thursday session in the school hall, where children can come and learn a variety of musical instruments with a tutor. He also explained that part of the session is dedicated to everyone playing together as a band.

Everyone enjoyed the video Simon showed, featuring a current Live Wire student who talked about how much he enjoys the lessons and how proud it makes him and his family feel. He also reassured pupils that they soon overcome any nerves about performing in front of an audience.

A leaflet will be coming home with pupils today for families to look through, and Simon hopes to see many of them at the lessons.

Simon was happy to answer all the children’s questions, explaining that Live Wire has been running for 16 years – and some of the original pupils are now teachers themselves!
