Tree Festival at St John's Church

Key stage 2 has had a wonderful time making these re-cycled 'keep me' decorations for the festival of lights competition. They discussed how we live in a 'throw away society' and how important it is to start their own family traditions before constructing their nutcrackers using corks and other found objects. Pupils loved how the materials quickly became a character that they could interact with. The outcomes have been amazing, a big well done to everyone!

The Year 3 classes were delighted to visit the Christmas Tree Festival at St John’s Church in Epping. Everyone was thrilled to see all the trees decorated by so many diverse groups from our local community. It was wonderful for the pupils to recognise the trees they had helped decorate through the various clubs they attend outside of school.

The pupils were also excited to see our own Coopersale Hall School Christmas tree, and they were thrilled to point out their individual decorations hanging on the branches.

Mrs Lane, a former teacher at Coopersale Hall, was delighted to welcome the pupils and walked around with the different classes, sharing facts about our local area. We would like to thank her very much for taking the time to spend with our pupils.
