Reception

Reception at Coopersale Hall School builds on the strong foundations from Nursery and Pre-School so your child starts school feeling confident. Children move into Reception with familiar faces, familiar routines, and shared expectations that make the step feel natural.

The school day runs from 8.45am to 3.00pm, five days a week. Reception balances play based learning with clear teaching in early reading, writing, and maths. Staff develop language, attention, independence, and positive learning habits, and they help children build friendships and feel part of the wider school.

Children also enjoy outdoor learning and Wild Woods sessions, alongside specialist teaching and school experiences that widen learning and build confidence.

Wraparound care from 7.30am to 6.00pm

We offer wraparound care to support working families, with provision available from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Children can start the day in a calm, welcoming setting before the school day begins, and they can stay after 3.00pm for supervised play, activities, and a light snack.

This gives you flexibility for drop off and pick up, while your child benefits from familiar routines and staff across the day.
