Edith achieves her Level 6

Edith from 2B has achieved her Level 6 certificate in swimming! She started swimming at the age of four, and over the past three years, she has made incredible progress.

What did you have to do to gain this level?

To earn this certificate, Edith had to refine her technique in various strokes, including front crawl and backstroke. As part of her assessment, she demonstrated her ability to complete four lengths of each stroke in the pool.

She has four more hats to earn before completing the program. The app she uses helps track her progress, showing which strokes she needs to master and what she must achieve to reach the next level. Once she meets 100% of the criteria, she can advance to the next stage.

What are the fun elements of your swimming lessons?

“Every four weeks, we get to wear flippers to practice! Our club also holds in-house competitions, and last time, I won and earned a ticket for a free swim with my family. I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere at the club.”

What are the benefits of swimming?

“Everyone in my family swims, so it’s great to share something we all enjoy. It’s also an important skill for staying safe around water. I’m especially excited about the upcoming certificate, where I’ll have to swim while wearing clothes—this helps you understand what it feels like to be in the water fully dressed, which is important for water safety. Swimming keeps me healthy, and I’m so happy that my family and I can enjoy it together. I can’t wait to start working toward my next level!”

Well done, Edith—keep up the great work!
