It was a pleasure for everyone to gather in the hall and enjoy our final assembly together. Mr. Wilson took this opportunity to speak to the pupils about the significance of Easter and the meaning behind Christ’s journey into Jerusalem on a donkey. He encouraged us to reflect on the humility this image conveys. As the story of the Passion unfolded, we contemplated how Christ’s personal journey enabled him to truly forgive and exemplify kindness and wisdom for us all.
The pupils enthusiastically applauded their peers who demonstrated resilience, hard work, and perseverance in earning certificates for their merit point contributions to their Houses. It was a wonderful achievement, and the recognition from their fellow students made the moment even more special.
We would like to extend our gratitude to FOCHS for the beautiful Easter baskets they prepared. The children who were fortunate enough to receive a prize were overwhelmed with joy at these thoughtful gifts, filled with delightful surprises to enjoy.
It was also a joy to celebrate the winners of the Pancake Throwing Competition. Each child was thrilled and shared how much fun they had taking part in this exciting event.
Mr. Wilson was delighted to announce that this term’s Achievement Award was presented to Sophia in Year 8 for her outstanding writing skills and the positive impact she has within her class. She will have the honor of holding the trophy for the term—an incredibly well-deserved achievement. Congratulations, Sophia!
The assembly concluded with warm wishes for a happy, healthy, and safe Easter break for all.
