On Tuesday 8th July year 5 took part in a toy sale to raise money for our designated charities this year – Little Life Savers and Spinal Injury Association. The sale was held in the courtyard over a couple of days.
This was a task set against the Oaktree Challenge Silver Award. The class donated toys and helped to set up the stall at the beginning of each day. There were lots of plushies and board games!
The final total has not been tallied up yet – but on the first day we make around £50.00. Everyone enjoyed being on the stall and it was fun making sure that we gave everyone the correct change back. It was a lovely task and everyone was polite to our customers as they were to us. It was a marvellous feeling donated our much loved toys and knowing that the proceeds would be going to charity.
