Mr Wilson warmly welcomed the pupils and families of Year 6 to the hall for their final Graduation Assembly—an occasion tinged with sadness, yet filled with hope for new horizons and exciting new beginnings. Although he had only been at the school for the past year, Mr Wilson took this opportunity to reflect on how much he had enjoyed his time with the current Year 6 cohort, describing them as intelligent, caring, and wonderful role models for the rest of the school.
The assembly began with a slideshow of photographs compiled by Mrs Bull, showcasing some of the memorable moments the pupils had experienced during their time at Coopersale Hall. The audience responded with cheers and spontaneous applause.
Year 6 then took to the stage to begin their farewell:
Sofia: “Thank you so much for being here for our final assembly in Key Stage 2 at Coopersale Hall.”
Felix: “This may be the last assembly for some of us, but it’s not the end—just the next step.”
Iman: “For many of us, Coopersale Hall has felt like a second home. Some of us started all the way back in Kindergarten. Along the way, we’ve made lots of friends… some have moved on…”
Xander: “…and new friends have joined! Each day here has given us the chance to try something new and take on exciting challenges.”
Eva: “It’s important to remember why we are here—and who has made this all possible.”
Arty: “So we would all like to say thank you—to you, our parents, for giving us the chance to be at Coopersale Hall, surrounded by friends and staff who truly care about us.”
Millie: “Today is a time to celebrate all we’ve done here by sharing our warmest memories…”
Each pupil then came forward to share their personal experiences, reflecting on the responsibilities of their prefect roles and the special moments that had made them feel both proud and thrilled to contribute to school life. Finally, the Head Girl, Iman, and the Head Boy, Xander, took to the microphone to offer heartfelt reflections on how these leadership roles had helped them grow over the year, and what a privilege it had been to serve as ambassadors for Coopersale Hall School.
Mrs Doherty and Mr Wilson were delighted to present the pupils with trophies and books. Each child also received a commemorative hoodie from FOCHS, a yearbook and a framed piece of artwork from the school.
Mr Wilson brought the event to a close by inviting the incoming Head Girl, Felicity, and Head Boy, Carter, to the stage. Iman and Xander warmly wished them a year filled with the same wonderful experiences and memorable events that they themselves had enjoyed.
In his final remarks to everyone gathered, Mr Wilson once again emphasised what an exceptional year group it had been. He wished each pupil happiness and success in the future.
