Pride Assembly June 2025

Mr Wilson was pleased to welcome everyone back to school for our final term. He informed the pupils that this month we would be celebrating Pride Month.

To begin, the pupils watched a video that explored the meaning of love and highlighted its many forms. The video shared the message that:

  • Love has no disabilities
  • Love has no gender
  • Love has no race
  • Love has no religion
  • Love has no labels
  • Love has no boundaries and is not defined by age

Mr Wilson then invited the pupils to share what love meant to them. Their responses included:

“I love my family,” “Love doesn’t mind who we love,” and “I love my dog.”

There are many kinds of love, and we value all the different ways we may experience it. Sometimes, we focus too much on our differences, but we came to understand that love is a universal feeling — unlabelled and eternal, taking many shapes and forms.

The assembly concluded with a celebration of our pupils’ achievements outside of school. Luna (1S) and Ayla (RB) proudly presented their gymnastics trophies, Melody (1V) displayed her Live Our Life Street Dance medal, and Louis (2H) shared that his football team had been awarded a medal for their improved skills.  Their achievements were warmly applauded by everyone.
