Year 5 visited the Pottery Studio in Ongar to finish our creative pieces. First, our clay pots and tiles were given to us and we were delighted to know that they had all gone through the kiln and remained as they were. Our first task was to draw an accurate picture of our art. Each of the Aztec designs were unique and made with hard work.
I think everyone was excited to start painting! It was hard in some places but they all turned out great, we added a few more layers and soon it was done. We were pleased afterwards to get a refreshing bubble tea of our choice and sit down to eat our packed lunches.
A week or so later we received our art work which had been glazed and seemed to be brighter now. Year 5 was pleased with the finished result and would recommend this trip to the rest of Coopersale Hall and other schools too.
