On Tuesday 6 November we planted a new hedgerow in the grounds of the school. This was part of the Woodland’s Trust “Jubilee Woods” project to plant 6 million trees as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The Coopersale Hall trees were all native British hedgerow species, including; Dogwood, Hawthorn, Hazel, Holly and a wild rose. There was also an Oak Tree which will be bonsai’d as the symbol of the Oak-Tree Group of schools of which Coopersale Hall school is part.
Thank you to Fiona Hulbert for arranging and organising this worthwhile event, and to Gary, our gardner for his assistance.
