Children in Year 2 have been studying famous people as part of their topic work this term. To begin with they learnt about Stephen’s steam locomotive “The Rocket” which led them to a famous person who has a nickname “The Rocket” – Mr Ronnie O’Sullivan. Mr O’Sullivan very kindly came into the classroom to talk to the children about his life as a professional snooker player. He showed the children his trusty cue, how to use it and he showed his trophy for winning the snooker world championship.
It was a very interesting and informative afternoon and we are very grateful to Mr O’Sullivan for sharing his experiences with us.
