We had an exciting (and very hot) afternoon yesterday celebrating the year with our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving. It took place in a marquee on the field which was full to the brim with pupils, staff, family and friends.
The guest speaker this year was Mrs Kiren Chima from the NSPCC and it was fantastic to hear all about her work with the organisation. She was very pleased to attend and thanked the parents for all of their contributions this year.
Children from years 1-6 performed an array of songs including ‘Halo’ by Beyonce, Down in the Garden and an amazing Lion King medley! The huge audience was also entertained by a piano recital, violin recital and a poem. Our guest, Mrs Chima then presented prizes to a selection of our hardworking pupils.
We were very proud of our Sport Captains and our Head Boy and Head Girl, Samuel and Jasmine who gave very informative reports.
Well done to everyone who won a prize, but all of our children should be very proud of their progress this year. What a lovely afternoon!
