Early Years children enjoyed learning about and celebrating Diwali last week. They have watched ‘Jessica’ on CBeebies preparing for and celebrating Diwali. They also watched the story of Rama and Sita, and had some Diva lamps casting a warm glow over their Diwali snacks. The class tried pakoras, nann bread, samosas and onion bhajis and they were all delicious!
On a wet day everyone put on their suits and wellingtons to play in the Autumn leaves. The children had a great time laying down on the soft bed of leaves and covering Mrs Baker in so many leaves that she couldn’t be seen anymore! Everyone then helped to clear the leaves back into a big pile.
