As part of their Food and Festivals topic, the children in Transition had a wonderful opportunity to visit Tesco in Church Langley for much more than just a normal shopping trip! The children took part in one of the store’s Farm to Fork Trails which help children to learn about healthy food choices and where to find the nutritional information about what they eat. They had the opportunity to take part in a food tasting session and were amazed as to how much sugar was contained in some cereals – especially coco pops!
Here they tasted healthy snacks, found some different fruit and vegetables and made their own breakfast cereal to take away.
