On Tuesday 30 January, Coopersale Hall took part in The Shooters Football Centre Year 3 & 4 Football Tournament held at their North Weald Centre.
The first match in the group stage was against Moreton. The team performed brilliantly winning 15-3. The next match was against Jerounds School from Harlow. This was a much tighter game, but the team controlled it well winning 5-0. The last match in the group stage was against Roydon School, which the boys won comfortably 12-0.
Next came the semi-final against local school Ivy Chimneys, the boys played with real confidence and determination winning 10-0. In the final both schools played brilliantly. Lambourne School were tough, highly organised opponents. At one point Coopersale Hall were leading 7-6. However, all credit to Lambourne who came back strongly in the last few minutes to win 10-7. The boys cannot be praised enough for their excellent play and highly positive attitude shown throughout the tournament. Thank you also to all the parents who turned up to cheer the boys on.
