On Thursday 8 February, Coopersale Hall School held its House Swimming Gala at Ongar Pool. The Gala started with the Champion Swimmer competition for the best six swimmers in Year 3 and Year 4. This competition involves swimming front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke, the points from each race are then added up to find our overall Champion Swimmers. Big congratulations to Mateus in Year 3 and Francesca in Year 4, our new Champion Swimmers.
In the main House Gala, pupils are invited to swim lengths and widths. The finishing positions are converted into points, with every swimmer scoring at least a point for every time they swim. It was wonderful to see so many of our pupils enjoying the Gala and swimming so well.
When all the points had been added up we found out that Willow were the Year 3/4 House Gala Champions.
