On Thursday 3 May, Year 3 visited the Epping Forest Field Study Centre to further their research on ‘Our Environment’. The children were very excited as they were allowed to wear their own clothes and had to take their wellies in a bag in case it was muddy. In the centre they saw a blue tit’s nest with a camera in it, so they could see she was sitting on 8 eggs when she flew off to get her food.
Other activities throughout the day included investigating the forest, taking part in a footpath study and following a compass trail. It was a lovely day but involved a lot of walking, so everyone was very tired on their return!
