Outdoor Pursuits Week

On Monday 14 May Year 5 and 6 visited the Stubbers Adventure Centre in Upminster. The children had a wonderful day of activities which included sailing, paddle boarding and raft building.

Then on Wednesday 16 May they travelled to the Kingswood Centre at Overstrand in Norfolk, stopping on the way at the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve in Fakenham. The Pensthorpe Nature Reserve proved very interested with many little ducklings on show.  After a picnic lunch all of the pupils played on the wonderful adventure playground.  Soon it was time to continue the journey to Overstrand.

The Kingswood Centre is situated in the old Overstrand Hall and the grounds have been transformed into an activity centre. The pupils took part in a wide range of activities which included leap of faith, nightline, archery, orienteering, an obstacle challenge, laser quest and aeroball. The food was very tasty and the weather dry for once! Everyone even had a lovely afternoon playing on the local beach.  All too soon it was time to pack everything up and catch the coach back to school.

Mr Robinson would like to thank all of the pupils and staff for making this Outdoor Pursuits week on of the best ever.
