We had an exciting (and very hot) afternoon yesterday celebrating the year with our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving. It took place in a marquee on the field which was full to the brim with pupils, staff, family and friends.
The guest speaker this year was Mrs Rochelle Humes, a successful singer, presenter and entrepreneur. It was fantastic to hear all about her success and drive. Rochelle was very pleased to attend and we were thrilled to have her with us. Thank you Rochelle!
Children from years 1-6 performed an array of songs including ‘Mama Africa’, ‘When I Grew Up’ from Matilda the Musical and an amazing ‘The Greatest Showman’ medley! The huge audience was also entertained by a piano recital, violin recital and a singing recital. Our guest, Mrs Humes then presented prizes to a selection of our hardworking pupils.
We were very proud of our Sport Captains and our Head Boy and Head Girl, Harry and Taylor who gave very informative reports.
Well done to everyone who won a prize, but all of our children should be very proud of their progress this year. What a lovely afternoon!
