On Wednesday 27 June Coopersale Hall School took part in the District Athletics Tournament at Mark Hall Sports Centre, Harlow. On another wonderfully warm and sunny morning our Athletics team performed brilliantly with many of our pupils winning their events. In the sprint races Sonny, Maria and Nia all won both of their individual races.
In the throwing and jumping events we once again had many excellent results, with Harry (Year 6), Charlie (Year 5) and Jonathan (Year 4) all winning their throwing events. There were many second and third places as well and all of our team should be very proud.
Finally, it was time for the relay races. Well done to our Year 3/4 Girls team who produced our best result finishing in second place, (Nia, Francesca, Maria and Isabelle).
When all of the points had been added up we found out that we had finished in second place overall. This is a great achievement for our team and something to really give us confidence for next year. Mr Robinson would like to thank all of the pupils for their hard work and determination. Also a big thank you to all the parents who turned up to cheer them on.
