Year 4 are learning about the Stone Age. In their art lesson this week they imagined they were hunter-gatherers and foraged around the school grounds for natural materials. The class then used these materials to produce replicas of Stone Age cave paintings. They carefully ground the flowers and berries in a pestle and mortar to produce colour. Feathers, sticks, pine cones and their fingers were the paintbrushes and made marks on the paper. The finish results were very authentic!
