Upper Kindergarten Baker’s ‘Spooky Pumpkin’

All of the children in Upper Kindergarten Baker got into the Halloween spirit and helped to scoop out the pumpkin; it was very slimy and not everyone liked the smell!

They then took it in turns to hammer golf tees into the pumpkin and pull them out again, putting an old wax crayon into the hole. We had lots of fun doing this, although it was a bit hard to always hit the tee. When everyone had lots of turns the children sat back as Mrs Baker and Miss Carthy melted the crayons using a hairdryer. There were lots of squeals of excitement as the crayons started to melt and make patterns down the pumpkin.

We think our pumpkin now looks very spooky and is ready for Halloween.
