Year 6 Visit Wensley House Care Home

“On Friday 29 November, some Year 5 and 6 children went to sing jolly Christmas songs to cheer up and liven up the old people.  We sang some of the traditional songs such as Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Away in a Manger and many more. When we sang we wore reindeer ears on our heads.  The people there smiled and clapped as we finished the songs. Afterwards we went to say hello and ask the elderly people questions. We were in groups of three, two and one to chat to the elderly residents before having refreshments. They gave us some Haribo sweets and a delicious chocolate reindeer. We thanked them and left with a smile on our faces.  What an exciting day!”
