Reception Had A Busy First Week Back Celebrating Earth Day, Practicing Sentences And Drawing Chalk Clocks In The Playground!

Tuesday was all about Sentence structure. The children worked in groups to rearrange the words to make a sentence. They know that a sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.

Thursday was Earth Day, a day to appreciate the natural world around us and think about all the things we can do to help the environment. The children learnt all about earth day and we spoke a lot about recycling and the different types of bins.

The wonderful weather meant that In today’s maths lessons the children were able to draw their own clocks using chalk in the playground. We spoke about where the numbers are on the clock and where the hands should go. The children then drew different times on their clocks and then had to find specific times.

Well done Reception, keep up the good work!
