Year 5 have been trying their hand at Monochrome art inspired by the work of Lowry in this weeks art class. Lowry is famous for his desolate beach scenes, including ‘Castle On The Sands’, the pupils found it difficult to not to use hard edge outlines and not include too many details to keep their work in his style. After practising shading and observational techniques the finished pieces came out great! Excellent work Year 5!
